专利说明:
Nest box system, bush, blind plug, water valve unit and light unit for one SUCH A BOX SYSTEM AND A METHOD OF UPGRADING AN EXISTING BOX SYSTEM TO SUCH A BOX SYSTEM The present invention relates to a nest box system, in particular, to a mink nest box system with a built-in function opening in which various functions can be built into the wall of a nest box. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION In virtually all mink farms in Denmark as well as abroad, mink puppies are born and spend the first time of their lives in a nest box adjacent to a mink cage, which is typically built entirely of wire mesh. The nest box itself is typically closed at the bottom and at the sides, though with exit to the mink cage, while the "ceiling" typically consists of wire mesh, which according to the law must be covered more or less with straw. The whole process of mating, childbirth and, in general, the breeding of mink is very controlled. For example, it is normal for the mink grower to run a "light program", in Denmark typically in the period from about March 12 to April 10, to artificially control the mink's experience of day length. If this is done in an appropriate manner, the birth can be ensured within a few days, making it easier for the mink grower to handle. Usually this light control is carried out by means of a light chain with ordinary incandescent bulbs, which are hung in the rafters of the mink house. The problem with this solution is that varying thicknesses of the straw layer on the individual nest boxes mean that even 1 ice flow into the nest box will vary and is difficult to control. Another problem with known nesting systems is that the water supply for both the adult mink and the mink puppies is almost always located in the mink cage - ie outside the nest box. Although it may be located just outside the nest box, it still means that the mink puppies to be able to drink must get out of the nest box where they feel most comfortable in the first time of their lives. Especially in the first part of the mink puppy's life, typically from about May 10 to June 5, when the mink puppies have to learn to drink, this can be problematic. An attempt has been made to place a water friend in the wire mesh in the nest box's ceiling so that the mink puppies have the opportunity to drink it from inside the nest box. However, the solution is not widespread because it is a major problem for the well-being of the mink puppies (and in the worst case, maybe even their survival) if there is water at the bottom of the nest box that has a closed bimd. Brief description of the invention It is an object of the present invention to provide a nest box system which overcomes the aforementioned problems of known nest box systems. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a mink nesting system comprising one or more nesting boxes in which a sleeve is provided with a through opening for mounting a functional unit, and one or more functional units for mounting in this sleeve, which functional units comprise a water valve unit that allows mink and mink puppies to drink water without leaving the nest box, and / or a light device with a light source that allows light to be sent into the nest box. Such a solution is advantageous because it allows a common opening into the nest box to solve the aforementioned light and water problems. Since artificial light and access to water in the nest box are not needed during the same period, this solution is both cost and space saving. At the same time, the light and water supply is placed in a place where they do not get in the way of the mink work, such as on the outside and through the straw boards of the nest boxes. In one embodiment of the invention, the nest box system comprises a water valve unit which is provided with a water valve, a cavity and a drinking bowl and can switch between two different configurations in such a way that, in the first configuration of the water valve lid, the water valve is activated, thus that water supply to the cavity is thereby filled with water while there is no connection between the cavity and the drinking bowl, and in the second configuration of the water valve unit, the water valve is deactivated so that the water supply to the cavity is closed while there is an open connection between the cavity and the drinking bowl so that the cavity's water content is discharged into the drinking bowl. The introduction of a cavity in the water valve unit and the described function with two configurations means that only a limited amount of water can flow into the drinking bowl at a time, preventing the water from just running and leaving water at the bottom of the nest box. In one embodiment of the invention, the water valve assembly is arranged to switch between the two configurations as the beverage bowl is tilted forward or backward between two positions. When switching between the two configurations requires a movement of the drinking bowl in this way, it is avoided that the nest box is filled with water if, for example, a mink puppy will lie or stand up against the water valve unit or the drinking bowl. In one embodiment of the invention, the nest box system comprises two or more water valve assemblies, each provided with one or more plugs, so that they can be connected in series to an external water supply by means of one or more hoses or tubes. In one embodiment of the invention, the nest box system comprises a light unit with a light source in the form of one or more LEDs arranged to transmit light into the nest box in which the bushing unit is mounted. When the light is sent directly into the nest box in this way, the dependence on how much straw lies on the nest box is avoided and the amount of light supplied becomes much easier to control. The use of LEDs furthermore means that some power can be saved compared to the known solutions, which are typically based on ordinary incandescent lamps. In one embodiment of the invention, the nest box system comprises two or more light units connected to a common power supply, which power supply is controlled so that the light sources of the light units can be turned on and off according to a predetermined temporal pattern. In one aspect of the invention, it relates to a bushing for a nest box system as described above. In one aspect of the invention, it relates to a plug for closing the aperture through a bushing in a nest box system as described above. In one aspect of the invention, it relates to a water valve assembly for a nest box system as described above. In one aspect of the invention, it relates to a light unit for a nest box system as described above. In one aspect of the invention, it relates to a method of upgrading an existing nest box system to a nest box system as described above, which comprises mounting a bushing in a wall of one or more nesting boxes, and mounting a functional unit as described above in this bushing. Such an upgrade is relatively easy to do, since without the major problems a hole can be drilled in the strawboard or other wall on an existing nest box in which the bushing can be mounted, for example by simple gluing. The drawings In the following, some embodiments of the invention are described in more detail with reference to the drawings, of which FIG. 1 shows a part of a nesting box system according to an embodiment of the invention, FIG. 2 shows a bushing from a nesting box system according to an embodiment of the invention, FIG. 3a shows a water valve assembly mounted in a bushing from a nesting box system according to an embodiment of the invention, seen from one side, FIG. 3b shows the water valve assembly and bush of FIG. 3a, viewed from another side, FIG. 4a shows a nesting box system according to an embodiment of the invention, and FIG. 4b shows an enlarged section of FIG. 4a. Detailed description of the invention FIG. 1 shows a part of a nesting box system 1 according to an embodiment of the invention. A strip of nest boxes 2 is arranged along a strip of mink cages 3 of wire mesh so that access from each of the mink cages 3 is accessed in one of the nest boxes 2. The so-called straw board 4 constituting the wall of the nest boxes 2 facing away from the mink cages 3 , is higher than the other walls. This is because the straw board 4 must, among other things, make sure that the straw, which according to the law must be placed on top of the nest boxes 2, does not fall. Furthermore, it is seen that in each nest box 2's strawboard 4 a bushing 5 is arranged which can be used for mounting different functional units, as described below. In principle, the sleeve 5 may be arranged in any available wall in a nest box 2, but it is advantageous to place the sleeve 5 - and thus the functional unit mounted therein - in the straw board 4, because the functioning unit will not interfere with the mink's work. . FIG. 2 shows an example of how such a sleeve 5 can be designed. The sleeve 5 is provided with a cylindrical exterior so that it can be easily secured, for example by gluing, in a hole drilled in the wall of the nest box 2. In the illustrated embodiment, the hole through the sleeve 5 is provided with a guide slot 6 on each side, so that a functional unit mounted therein cannot be rotated relative to the sleeve 5. Furthermore, a locking pin 7 and a locking pin 8 are shown which by engagement with corresponding details on the functional unit acts as a snap lock, for retaining the functional unit in the sleeve 5. FIG. Figures 3a and 3b show a water valve assembly 9 from a nesting box system 1 mounted in a bushing 5 according to an embodiment of the invention, seen from two different sides. The water valve unit 9 shown is provided with two studs 10 so that it can be connected in series by means of hoses or pipes (not shown in these two figures) to the water valve units 9 mounted in other nest boxes 2 and with a water supply. The water valve cover 9 comprises a tiltable drinking bowl in 1 which is mounted in such a way that it activates and deactivates a water valve 12 when tilted back and forth respectively. Furthermore, in the water valve unit 9 there is a small cavity (not shown). The water valve 12 is arranged so that when activated, it opens to the water supply to the cavity, while closing a connection between the cavity and the drinking bowl 11. Thus, in this position, the cavity is filled with water from the external water supply. When the water valve 12 is deactivated, the opposite happens: The water supply to the cavity is closed, but the connection is opened between the cavity and the drinking bowl 11, where the water content of the cavity is emptied into the drinking bowl. Thus, it requires a reciprocating movement of the drinking bowl 11 to release an amount of water corresponding to the contents of the cavity. This means that the risk of flooding in the nest box 2 is minimized because only one "dose" of water is released, even if a mink puppy is to stand or lie up against the drinking bowl. Light units (not shown) for the nest box system 1 comprise a light source arranged to transmit light into the nest box. These light units are mounted in the same way as the water valve units 9 in the bushings 5 and are typically supplied with power from a common power supply which is controlled so that the light units' light sources can be switched on and off according to a predetermined temporal pattern in accordance with the "light program" desired by the mink heaters. to drive. In a preferred embodiment, the light source consists of one or more light emitting diodes, which means that a considerable saving of power can be achieved compared with known systems, where the light source is a light chain with incandescent lamps hanging under the roof of the mink house. FIG. 4a and 4b respectively show a nesting box system 1 according to an embodiment of the invention, and an enlarged section thereof In the illustrated embodiment, a water valve unit 9 is mounted in a bushing section 5 in the strawboard 4 of each nesting box 2. The mounted water valve units 9 are connected to a a series of tubes or tubes 13, which in turn can be connected to an external water supply. Reference list 1. Nest box system 2. Nest box 3.
